Hospitals have become crucial venues for the world's inhabitants since the commencement of the COVID-19 epidemic. Long lineups of patients form in hospitals full of worried and distressed patients. Again, the emergency department, hospital grounds, and parking lot were overcrowded. And all of these locations acted like temporary corona wards. Each hospital-related catastrophe became an overnight nightmare for the news and print media. As a result of such disasters and calamities, we must learn new healthcare facility design and engineering lessons from them. Simultaneously, designing and remodeling future hospitals has become a task for us. In addressing these difficulties, several solutions and questions have evolved.

1. Is it necessary to increase air filtration to lower virus susceptibility?

2. Or should we boost mechanical air exchanges?

3. Using space syntax analysis, how can we improve patient circulation to lessen flu issues?

4. What safeguards should we consider while building a patient room?

The fundamental goal of this project is to investigate various challenges to give a new perspective to the field of post-pandemic hospital design. This would be referred to as a pandemic-resilient hospital design. On the other hand, medical college hospitals have played an essential role as front-line responders during the pandemic in third-world nations like Bangladesh. It is important to note that a medical college and hospital is an institution that provides both hospital services and instruction to medical college students. Because of the vast number of trainee doctors in various training institutions, they serve a crucial role as front-liners throughout the Corona period while preserving the ratio of pleased patients to doctors. Simultaneously, the Nursing Institute linked with these schools has been a significant frontline fighter against Corona. The project will facilitate future potential pandemic situations by upgrading the considerations of the issue-based architect and engineer at the hospital and its connected institutes during the post-pandemic crisis. The project aims to create a hospital based on viral behavior and dissemination flow and to research associated spatial syntax.

Post-pandemic Hospital & Institutional Design: New Modern Medical College & 250 Bed Hospital, Khulna
